Ziggys Hot Rods are very proud to announce the birth of a new project the "Zelby 427".

The brief that Ziggy gave himself was a "WHAT IF" scenario. We all know that in that period Ford had expressed a interest in acquiring Ferrari, we now know this never happened...but "what if " it had ?? "What if " Shelby had decided that he wanted to race in Europe and base himself out of the newly acquired Ferrari workshop ??  "What if " Shelby and Enzo Ferrari had collaborated on combining the very best of European chic and American muscle, if this was a real life story we believe it would have resulted in the creation of our "ZELBY 427" project, the way it would have looked if it had been built for Europe.

Introducing "ZELBY 427" which incorporates the very latest in current day automotive technologies.Motivated by a Roush Racing built 427SR, a EFI stack injected Windsor powerhouse based on dart block and heads producing 600 plus horsepower on pump gas. Gears move by a 5 speed Tremec TKO 600 built by USA based legends Bowler Transmissions. Chris Alston Chasisworks and Total Control Mustang front suspension system with triangulated four bar rear end incorporating a fabricated 9" housing driving strange diff centre and axles. Brakes are Baer mono billet block six spot callipers all round with 15" slotted rotors. Ziggy's have designed a one off wheel, built by Budnik Wheels. Sound will be provided by Kicker audio. Paint by Glasurit. Coach built by Ziggy's with countless body modifications. Designed by Ziggy, rendered by Bo Zolland, Sweden. Built for the street by the team at Ziggy's with pride. Watch for "ZELBY 427" appearing on a street near you.

"ZELBY 427'" is planned to debut, in raw unfinished form, at MotorEX 2010 July, Homebush, Sydney. The team from Ziggy's look forward to meeting you there !
